Bloody oath.

Hurrah, I'm finally getting over my cold! I've been sick pretty much for two weeks, last week I had an annoying bout of tonsilitis, and over the weekend I caught a cold off Ezra.

Ezra came over on Friday, and he was sniffing and sneezing practically non-stop, but me being me, not having caught a common cold in years and generally having an ok immune system, didn't hesitate to umm, not be careful, so to speak...

Sooo now I've got a cold. I shouldn't have been so confident about it! Haha, whatever. Even at school, Andy (one of the trainers, he reads me like an open book) was commenting on it, but I ingored it completely. Funnily enough, my parents decided school was a no-no. Of course, I didn't object!

But my Dad was being a royal jerk about it.. Seeing as he's been out of dope for a few days, he's been pretty on edge, and cranky. Very cranky, more so than usual! So he wouldn't let me anywhere near him in his hypochondriac-ish fears of catching a cold. I almost prayed to a God I don't believe in (because I don't even know if it's real or not) when he found out I was using their phone instead of my separate line in the computer room.. I used the other phone because it's freezing in this tiny room, very uncomfortable too, so I figured it would have been more or less beneficial to me to lie down on my bed while I talked to Ezra.

About half an hour into my phone call I hear heaps and heaps of yelling and screaming coming from the lounge room. At this point I frantically told Ezra to "SSHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" repeatedly, and panicked because I knew Dad was directing it at Mum. I couldn't hear what it was about, all I heard of it clearly was various obscenities and "IT'S TOO LATE NOW!", I had no idea what was going on.

Later on, Mum came into my room, very jittery, explaining to me that Dad was furious that I was using their phone whilst I was sick, and Dad commanded Mum to disinfect the phone.

That's all that nonsense was about? It doesn't seem to matter if Dad uses the phone while he's sick! Well, then again, I'm not surprised. A lot worse has happened over much more trivial than that.

Funnily enough, the next night, he was very sheepish and timid towards Mum and me, to an extent, and even gave me a hug and let me sit next to him while I was still sick, and he still had no dope.

Uhmm, whatever happened to me being "germy" and not being allowed to be near you? I was just as sick as the previous night! Ah well, that's my Dad for you.

Luckily, I do get to go to school tomorrow, if only for half a day. I got Mum to write me a note, excusing myself from school from 12:30, as I'm going to Ezra's then, and he finishes school at 12:30 on Wednesdays and Fridays. Lucky bitch, he is!

    Hey Mez,
I’m glad to hear you are starting to feel better. nothing worse than freezing weather and feeling unwell for so long as well.

Enjoy your half day at school, sounds like a great plan! lol.
I don’t think my boss would go for it though. Although I’m sure the kids would love me to pick them both up early. Ah maybe another week
